I am needing to do some Brake Rotor Upgrading.

I am not looking to change out the Brembo calipers, but just looking to upgrade the OEM rotors so they will not warp quite as easily. BUT, I do not know what the advantages between Cross Drilled and/or Slotted are.

I have a serious problem the speed and rapid deceleration. I travel almost 100 miles a day to work and home. Its 90% interstate and when my 9500i beeps I am on the brakes for everything they have. They stop GREAT... BUT I keep warping rotors.

My 03 5AT went through 2 sets, my 06 TL was warped so bad the dash was shaking when I traded it in, and now my 04 6MT is warped....

I am not looking to change out the Brembo's. I am just looking to upgrade the OEM rotors so they will not warp quite as easily. BUT, I do not know what the advantages between Cross Drilled and/or Slotted are

What do you run? Would you get the same ones if you had it to do over again? What is the advantage of just slotted rotors???? How well do crossdrilled rotors hold up against warping??

If I were you I would get the brake system off of a 05-06 g or even better a g37 would be even better. The rotors for the 03-04 were way undersized.

I kinda gotta keep soemthing that will still allow 17's to fit. I do have to drive my G in some bad weather, and I got (oem)17"'s for snow tires.

Get the Stop Tech STG 2 setup whcih includes slotted rotors, stainless steel brake lines and Motuel fluid. You won't be disappointed. You can get the rotors for about 500.00 shipped.

look at OC Cliffhanger rotors. The 05-07 OEM 6MT rotors should fit your 17's....I think.

Not that I am trying to be a cheap a$$, but i don't havethe cash for a complete brake upgrade. If I had that kinda cash I would have a BA-50.

Seriously... I just hate to replace my rotors with another OEM set, or even just get them turned down just to have them warped again in 6 months. tjats why I thought I would look into the option of BETTER rotors.

How well do slotted rotors hold up against warping???? Are cross drilled as prone to cracks as I have heard??? For long life span is Slotted the best route to go???

you're warping brembos? Are you coming to a complete stop? Just doing a hard brake shouldn't warp them. It's uneven cooling that makes em warp.

I got the car with 56k miles on it. I don't know if they are still the OEM rotors or not. I don't know what is causing them to warp. I do not come to a complete stop, I just tend to shed 10-20 mph off in a hurry from time to time. Sometimes I end up on the brakes hard a couple times each direction (to work & home).

Uneven cooling??? what causes that???

have the rotors you have been turned before?...thinner rotors will warp easier than newer ones. I bet the rotors you have are below the min thickness.
