6 Pot Brembos on 04 G

I want to upgrade my brembos, and was wondering if I can put the 6 pot Brembo caliper from an STI or an Evo and put it in the front and grab my 4 pot Brembo and put it in the back. I was wondering if anybody has done or if its even possible...I think it would look nice...help me and let me know if its a direct fit or if I have to manufacture brackets, etc. Anyone know please let me know...

sti and evo still have a 4-pot caliper up front, the new GTR has a 6-pot brembo. You can also source a 6-pot brembo caliper from a Porsche Cayenne for a fair price as well, but you will have to make a custom mounting bracket and source a large rotor to work with it.

You are just better off buying an off the shelf kit from someone.

Also the front four piston calipers that come on the car are too big for the rears.

Since you seem more concerned with looks, just get the Megan 4-wheel brake kit, it sounds like it should meet your expectations and its not too expensive compared to other systems.

I was just wondering cuz the STI already comes with Gold brembos and I thought it would be a great upgrade by just buying the calipers and putting them in my car, It would be cheaper and I would hopefully have better brake performance.

So what year and trim G do you have? do you already have the OEM brembos?

If you already have the OEM brembos, I would just suggest spending the money on slotted rotors, more aggressive pads, lines and fluid to increase your brake perfomance.

if you insist on having a larger brake system or you do not have the OEM brembos, just go the easy route and buy an off the shelf system from megan racing, racingbrake.com, stoptech or wilwood. all of those companies make affordable front and rear BBK systems for the G.

there's no need to put STI components on your car if you already have the OEM brembo package.

Honda Accord
Why from STi?? You'd probably have to make a custom bracket for it and that's $$$$$$$$$....

Unless you understand brake bias and how it affects your braking performance, you most likely hurting your performance vs helping it.

Hurting brake performance for the sake of "bling" = incredibly bad ricerific idea.
