Hit a curb

About 3 weeks ago I was driving at night in a rain storm, and I was turning onto a narrow residential street while another car was facing the opposite direction at the stop sign, so I tried to go to the edge of the street through a puddle to get around it but it turned out the puddle was much deeper than I was expecting and it concealed a curb that I hit at about 10 mph at a diagonal angle. I hit the front passenger side wheel/tire and the car kind of jerked away from the curb as I hit it. I sortof freaked out and expected there to be something really wrong with my car but I drove home [30 miles] on the freeway and there was no vibration or out of the ordinary sounds and the car was tracking perfectly. I checked it out the next morning and I have a moderate amount of curb rash on the rim..but the tire seems to be fine. The rim is also about 1/4 of an inch misaligned with the tire but that's all I could see. Is it possible that there is anything seriously wrong with my car that I just don't know about?

I would suggest an alignment once the wheel is repaired

Post pictures of the wheel/tire. Doesn't sound good, 1/4" can cause the bead to loosen from the rim causing immediate flat.

Thanks for the replies, I just looked at the wheel again though and it actually doesn't seem to be 1/4 off with the rim, it looks pretty normal. I guess I was looking at it from a strange angle or glanced at it too quickly or something before. I did notice it's tugging VERY VERY slightly to the right, it's mainly noticeable at freeway speeds but only if I take my hands of the wheel, and after about 3 seconds it very slowly starts to track towards the right..not very noticeable when I'm holding the wheel though. This also may have been a problem before but it was so slight that I never paid attention
