What tools to use??

I'm going to change the front brakes for the first time on my 03 G35. And i was just wondering what tools i would need. I just dont want to pull the tires off and be suprised. And have to put them back on to go to the Hardware store. They are the stock rotors and calipers. Please HELP!!!!

Strictly from memory, so won't be perfect.

Basics:
You'll need a lug nut wrench, metric socket set (mostly 14 - 22mm), a foot pound torque wrench that goes from 20 to about 100 foot pounds, C-clamp, and a standard screwdriver (to help pry and re-insert clips).

Recommended:
I also recommend a runout gauge and welders clamp (there's too much aluminum to use the gauge magnet), but most don't take these measures.

Other misc supplies:
Brake cleaner, caliper grease, mechanics gloves, and brake fluid. You may need a suction bulb depending on the level of the fluid in your master cylinder and the wear on your existing set of brakes. Finally, a greeny cleaner (or any abrasive non shedding scouring pad) can come in handy for cleaning the hub before reinstalling the rotor and checking for runout.

Hopefully that helps a little.

^ Good list Seymore. I would also recommend getting a breaker bar to break loose the sliding pin bolts which hold the brake pads in place. These bolts are torqued in there pretty good for obvious reasons. If you don't have a breaker bar available, you might be able to get by with using a torque wrench to remove the bolts.

Dear god, please don't use a torque wrench to break the torque on ANYTHING. Torque wrenches are used to tighten things; using it like a breaker bar will destroy the tool.
