On some rotors there is actually a threaded hole into which you could screw something in and help pop the rotor off.. but the front rotors come off a LOT easier than the rear ones .. just one or two hits with the mallet.

so true... the rears dont have the threaded hole, i tried for about 1.5 hours, took a break and came back pissed and hit the rotors like 3 times and they came off (could have been the time they "soaked" but probably more because of hitting them with a bigger hammer)

Hey... sorry to jack your thread

But i am in the market for some new rotors as well (front only). My front rotors are starting to cause vibrations upon braking... Guessing i need new rotors and pads... I saw some at this website but they are confusing:

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...s/Brake_Rotors

I drive a 05-6MT so no brembo - which rotors from under rotora would I need to order (i just need the fronts). Also looking for pads if you guys have suggestions.

Notice the nice crack in the rotor. This car HAS NOT been tracked.

I emailed StopTech on this and was told that they do not warrent DRILLED rotors AT ALL!

DO NOT BUY DRILLED ROTORS, only get "Slotted" or "dimpled" or both.

BTW, someone suggested that these are "cheap chinese ebay rotors" "the drilling pattern doesn't look like StopTech", well they say "Centric" on the rim. ,,,
Those don't look like StopTechs at all... and plus, even if you wanted better braking, you'd want slotted, not drilled.

Sorry, but they are. I confirmed this with StopTech. They say Centric on them, but Centric owns StopTech.
