Ride Quality: Aftermarket VS OEM **OFFICIAL THREAD**

Alright before we go and start throwing out biased opinions, let's get honest information in here. How well do the highest end aftermarket coilovers comapre to OEM's..as far as ride quality goes and obviously performance. What about just a springs setup? Chime in for those of you who have aftermarket suspension...

When people say it's a bit more "stiff" that doesn't really explain a whole lot, believe it or not. What I'm asking is, the road noise? adaptation to bumps in the road? turning? rebound?

PROS VS CONS...would you drop your next car?

I'm OEM right now, but am going aftermarket here within the next 2 weeks .... I'm trying to get a feel for what others thoughts are
on lowering vehicles. I had an rsx and lowered it, I personally thought it was one of my better mods and didn't regret it.

BC Racing Coils are great once you get past the noise probs that can be fixed by using the rubber pillowball mounts pete will send you. Great ride quality you can custom order your spring rates and even get 20mm shorter springs to go even lower in the rear.

The problem is car oem spend millions of dollars testing and minimizing noise and vibrations by selecting optimum tuned components. Changing anything in suspension or allowing rubber to age and change detunes the system. Just as shocks age and need replacing every 4 years, so do rubber isolators, if as new is desired at 4 years.

No after market company spends anything other than to assure the components kinda physically fit.
