Need help with G37 brake upgrade....

Hi.
I am looking for the Akebono G37 brake upgrade for a 06 G35 6MT.
I am wonder what do I need except the bracket, caliper and disc rotor? (yes I know I can buy the complete kit which includes everything)
I am looking to just get the Akebono caliper and get an aftermarket 2pc rotor, stainless steel brake line and high performance pads.
So after I get the kit I get every thing that are originally for G37?

Has any one use them on track?
Thanks

Might need to change the master cylinder too since the brake bias is likely to be different. Why not just get a BBK engineered for the G35? You'll save yourself some major headache.

I haven't seen aftermarket rotor. pads for them yet, however just wait because the 370Z just came out and it has the same brake setup.

I believe there are pads but no aftermarket rotor yet.
So I might just use the OEM rotor for now till the rotors come out.

You also need the front brackets to make this work.
I think the rear fits without it.

Oh I'm aware of the threads out there, and that you CAN do it, but that doesn't mean that you should, if better braking is your goal. Just because someone has created a bracket so that they mount doesn't mean it's an upgrade in performance. For one thing, the front setup is a good 10 lbs heavier than the original, which is a HUGE amount of unsprung weight. In all of the threads I've seen, I've never seen any actual test data to show that braking is improved with this upgrade, other than "yeah, it feels better." Show me test data and then I'll believe it. Stoptech, for example, has actually done the homework.

the master cylinder probably isn't that differnent like most nissan/infiniti vehicles the big change from brake system to brake system is in the abs module as it also acts as the prop valve as well.

no need to upgrade the master cylinder, thats the best part of purchasing OEM products, because you know it will work if they are selling them at a dealership

talk to tony from riverside he is on the forum, there site will show you everything that comes with the kit, you can either buy the bracket for the front for tony for 600 i believe, or you can get it from sean for 200 (if he is still making them)

seeing as how there are no aftermarket rotors for the g37 yet, you might as well get the full kit from tony, that includes new lines, rotors, pads, calipers, dust shields, and i believe fluid too

Yes aftermarket 2pc rotor will come out. Just the matter of time.
The reason I don't want to purchase the kit from Tony@Riverside is because other than the bracket, caliper and dust shield I will be upgrading it to a 2pic rotor, stainless brake line and high performance brake pads.

I don't get your logic. Just because it is an OEM part sold by a dealership doesn't mean it's properly engineered for this particular application. The G20's brakes are OEM and sold by the dealership, but you wouldn't install them on a G35. The G35 and G37 are different cars with different brake bias, weight, weight transfer, etc. Show me some data and then I'll believe it.
