Loud pop sound when going over potholes or large bumps
I try to avoid potholes and bumps in the road, so much so that I must look like a drunk driver. Our roads are so ****ty in Wisconsin that running into pot holes happens no matter how you avoid them. This summer I had alot of noise coming from my front suspension. I took it to the dealer and they told me that I had bad compression rods. So I bought the parts and replaced them. I also found a bad end link. I changed those with upgraded SLP endlinks which were nice but too noisy for my taste so I recently took those off (they are now for sale) and replaced them with stock endlinks from the dealer. The suspension is much quieter now except when I hit a large bump or pothole. When this happens there is a really loud POP sound and it seems to be coming from the left side but sometimes from the right. It also seems to happen if I have to slam on the brakes. I looked everything over and cant seem to find anything that is worn looking or lose.
Has anyone else had this problem? I did a search and didnt find any thing that sounded the same.
I have an almost all stock suspension except for the 350Z Tein H-Tech springs that I installed toward the end of the summer.
HELP.
