Lowering my G (question)

So i bought used Tien springs and the guy sold me his stock shocks with springs. The springs have 18k on them and the stock shocks have 40k on them. My stock shocks have almost 30k. The Tien springs do about a 1.2" front and 0.9" back drop. My question was should i buy aftermarket shocks or will it be fine on stock. What would be better, and if someone had this specific drop what kind of shocks did you use and what was the difference? What would you guys recommend me doing. Thnx

i change my shocks when i did my springs, i wanted to pull the suspenions apart once. look into tokico d-specs, theyre a popular choice. with the shock shock/lowering spring combo, you run the risk of blowing them. there are many factors that determine if your going to blow your stock shocks, how much of a drop, driving style, and how the roads are. with the d-specs, it gave me the choice of changing the dampner stiffness...i have my d-specs set to a firm setting, yet people who ride in the car love how it feels.
