Rust on unswept area of rotors. What to do?

Recently installed DBA 4000 series slotted with Hawk Performance Ceramic pads, steel lines and motul fluid. I love this setup! Stopping performance greatly increased. Brake pedal feels firm and smooth when applied. No noise and very little brake dust. However, the pads don't sweep all of the rotor leaving a ugly rusty ring between the painted hub and swept area of the rotor.
Not a big problem but it's rust. What to do?

Take the rotors off and paint them with high temp paint.
