yay i installed nismo sway bars
Re: yay i installed nismo sway bars
Did the Nismo sway bars come with Poly Urethane bushings? If not, you need to buy the bushings. The bushings are a lot stiffer and will help control the body roll of the car.
Re: yay i installed nismo sway bars
Im wondering about our rear strut bar, It doesnt seem like there would ever be away to replace it with a lighter/stronger/moreexpensive material. I know a good number of people have replaced there rear strut on there 350z's.

Re: yay i installed nismo sway bars
the nismo sway bars have bushings that come along with it. i will post pics up soon. the car does seem a little stiffer i probably need the suspension changed out to really notice the difference. the sway bar in the rear can be seen just by lying on the floor. its the bar that goes across from side to side. the ftont sway bar can only be seen if you jack up your car and changing it out was a bitch because it was under a lot of plastic.
Re: yay i installed nismo sway bars
Hey guys,
I have a question here for you regarding two topics which are related here. I removed the intermediate muffler on my 6m coupe today and dont like the high pitched raspy soound. I want to have a custom dual exhaust built and found the rear stock sway bar to have only one relief bend for the single pipe. I was wondering if the Nismo sway bar has two releifs in it so that one could run dual tailpipes to the rear. Could you help me out with that? otherwise I will have to run the drivers side pipe up over top which is not ideal cosmetically and heat transfer wise to the shock bushings. This car could sound very nice with true duals I think as the single intermediate pipe tends to produce a high pitched somewhat tinny sound.
Lok forward to hearing from one of you with some details.
Have a good one.

Re: yay i installed nismo sway bars
if your going to have a custom exhaust made just have a custom sway bar made too. Im in the market for a dual cat back, probably goign to model it off something very similar to the dual cat back stillen is producing.

Re: yay i installed nismo sway bars
Hey Marcel...
I was thinking of doing just that, having a bar made. I usually end of trying to re-invent the wheel in these cases and thought with some luck, the nismo or maybe Stillen Co. may be building one just for this purpose. I have talked with several exhaust guys today trying to gather info on how a V6 will sound with dual exhaust using an X pipe in the middle to balance the tone and pulses. No one is taking a guess due to the unknown characteristics of this powerplant. Have you found out anything from your people? I think a nice staight through design which can be mounted tranversely in the stock muffler position should work well for less cost than the these stainless big name products. Let me know what you find and is Stillen planning on producing a full dual cat back system?? We could buy there mufflers and fab our pipe.
Talk to you soon.
