Fun with brakes!SWEET pics)

i've never seen anything this bad... curious if anyone can beat me?

this is how thin the rotors were:

<a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/Creeperlt1/?action=view&current=P2130028.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/Creeperlt1/P2130028.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
side by side of the insides of the new/old rotor:

this is how thin they were:
<a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/Creeperlt1/?action=view&current=P2130033.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/Creeperlt1/P2130033.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

pretty curious to see if anyones got documentation of worse... or even stories...

That was on a 2002 grand am, there was about half an inner bract left when we took it apart... She told me it was pulling to the left, but not about the grinding, so I thought it just needed an alignment... When I took it out saturday the brakes were grinding like crazy and I stopped at carquest and saw brake fluid all over the place... Lucky I made it to the garage from there, in retrospect I shouldve had it towed.

That is ridiculous...ridiculous that some people know absolutely nothing about something that is so essential to their everyday life....But it's also extremely funny!!!

I'm wondering why this wasn't caught earlier (i.e. during an annual vehicle inspection)?
