350 H-Techs

Hey I just bought some H-Techs, just wondering how bad these deteriate the life of your struts, some guy on a local forum warned me and told me springs would lower the lifespan of the struts.

(I have searched)

What kind of duration are we talking about?
Is there a way to prevent or safeguard that without buying coilovers?

it depends on the how many miles you already have on your stock struts and the road conditions around your area. You can buy aftermarket shocks when your stock ones blow (what i will be doing). The most popular shocks are the tokico d-specs and tokico hp's

Hmm good idea, how much do those run a guy?

I just bought the car, it has 52k KM, so not sure how bad the guy ran the car previously, I was hoping to run these springs for at least a year.

Yes it will, but how much depends on road conditions and your driving habits. When they blow you can just get some used OEM shocks for like $40 or just upgrade to coilovers, which is that's what I plan on doing.

Oh and as RajinRaj said, aftermarket shocks are an option as well. But if you factor in the price of the springs with the aftermarket shocks, you may as well just spend a little bit more and get Tein Basics and have height adjustability as well.

The thing about getting cheaper coilovers is I live in Canada, and have to factor in Winters/Salt, which means I'd have to get coilovers that can handle that sort of treatment.
