Compression rodzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I might want to install new compression rods before I get my car aligned after I install my rear camber kit. I don't know if it's even worth replacing the compression rods though.

I hear some creaking from the left and right wheels when entering my driveway.

When going over bumps the front of the car doesn't feel too solid. Kind of vague, but I feel some vibrations through the steering wheel. Feels almost like blown shocks without the bouncing.

My steering wheel is not in the exact center, but turned slightly to the left (noticed after alignment). It also drifts to the right some times.

Should I replace them? What other noises/feelings should I observe?

I also want to check my steering rack, but don't know what I should be looking for...

Let us know if you can find a good place to get compression rods at a good price. I would hate to buy it directly from stealership ....

Believe me I WILL be buying the most inexpensive; I just don't see anything lower than ~$300 shipped!

What you're describing seems to be what others have experienced from the worn compression rods. The driver side usually goes first.

The steering wheel issue is a problem from your alignment and needs to be resolved with another alignment. Sounds like the wheel wasn't centered and locked into position.

Do all the original parts from the factory (when the car was assembled) have a painted, yellow dot on them? Any way to check how many miles my compression rods have on them?

I feel like there is rumbling under the front wheels when going over rough patches in the road.

I might disconnect a compression rod from the hub to inspect it's damage...

Dude, that's exactly what I'm talking about in my rant about my car when referring to my front end being f'ed up!

I find that when I'm on the highway in the far left or right lane, where the crown of the road pulls the car to one side a little: if I take my hands off the wheel, I feel a rapid clunking from the front end, almost as rapid as a wheel out of balance. But the moment I apply any steering compensation, it's gone. When I go over bumps, I hold on for dear life.

I noticed if i rapidly shake the steering wheel back and forth when the engine's off, I get a little clunking, but I have no way of figuring out where it's coming from because I'm not an elf and can't get under my car with the wheels still on the ground

It feels like something is loose and kinda moving down there.

I'll hit the bottom of a hill on the highway and my front end like bugs the F out...

Feels like your tires are inflated to 50psi, right? Hard ride, front wheels bouncing off bumps?

That's a great way to describe it. It's almost like the vibrations are felt through the floor. It's definitely not normal because my mom's Maxima doesn't have this problem.
