Ride height

Hey all,

Quick question, on a 03 sedan with sport tuned suspension does the ride height differ from the non-sport models? I know the spring rates are stiffer and the shocks are red just to prove I did some searching before I posted! Thanks in advance.

I highly doubt they differ at all. The only difference, as you pointed out should be the spring rates. Maybe some sedan guru's come chime in.

I was interested because I have an '05X and would like to do a very mild (approx. 1") drop. If my car was RWD I would just put in a Z/Coupe setup and be done with it. The fact that it's an X makes it a little more complicated because it is heavier and will have more of a drop with the same springs.

I also prefer a somewhat stiff ride so that's why I was asking about the sport springs. After doing some more searching though I actually found that the stock X springs have a higher rate than the sedan sports so it may actually make the ride less stiff. Anyway, I didn't figure the sports would give any drop over the non-sports, but just thought I'd ask.

In the factory service manuel for the G35X, what does it show for ride height on the alignment spec page?

IIRC, I once read that the AWD sedan rides .5" higher then the RWD sedan, seeing what the FSM show's would be best however.
