finally was able to get them old rotors off (with a gear extractor), and got in new rotors, along with new pads, took me about 6 hrs with the help of a buddy.

What kinda rotors and pads?? Looks like they were pretty rusty.took so real work eh..

 

oem rotors and pads for now (saved some money). Although I plan on going atermarket later.

I had the front rotors turned, the rears were bad, so i got new ones. Finally got it done, but the hardest part was getting that rear rotor off.

 

but they have developed some rust in just a day, I washed/waxed the car today, and found some rust spots on the rotors, hard to clean/reach. Any solution for that??

I have rust on mine too don't know how to get rid of it ....anyone out there knows??Or just get new 1's??

 

lol i'm not looking forward to getting the rears off, i'm doing f&r pads and rotors this weekend

seems like everyone has a hell of a time getting it off... i stocked up on some PB blaster so hopefully that will help

 

i did the same too at first, but PB didnt help (even after letting it on overnight),
so gud luk dude.

 

For rust, you need to coat the rotor in something.

Either zinc them, apply high temp clear coat or high temp engine paint to the rotor hats (not the pad contact surface)

I always paint my rotors before i put them on. I mask off the pad swept area and spray a few coats and let dry. It lasts for a long time too. I went 3 years with it on my last car like that.

 

did you adjust the parking brake thing too?
