One more question before I buy...

So after reading through dozens of threads on suspensions and various opinions, so I can be sure on what to buy, I think I finally decided.

At first, I was going to go with the G35 H-Techs, but then saw that most go with the 350z H-Techs because it's a more noticeable drop, so I'm decided on getting those (S-Techs are too low for daily driving to me).

Next, people recommended to upgrade the shocks after changing springs, and I read that most people with H-Techs go with Tokico HP Blues to help with the ride and because the stock shocks eventually won't take the drop, they're also relatively cheap, so I'm decided on getting those, even though my car only has 10k miles.

My confusion is on the camber kits, some say they never needed them, some say they needed just the back, others just the front, others just live with the camber and rotate their front tires. I don't mind shelling out the extra cash for a camber kit if it means it'll save me money on tires in the long run.

So my question is, do I buy the rear kit, the front kit, or do I wait until after I get an alignment to see which I need? I would have liked to get everything installed at the same time in a shop so I wouldn't have to take it in twice. I think most people went with the rear camber kit.... I kinda like the slanted look of the car, looks more aggressive to me, so I won't be doing the springmount mod.

This is the first car I've ever modded, so I'm not that knowledgeable about aftermarket parts, but all this reading has taught me a lot, modding's pretty fun haha. Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading, any info is appreciated .

PS: I have the sport tuned suspension w/the 19" wheels if that helps with anything.

I think it depends on your budget. IMO springs + shocks adds up, I would really just get coilovers for that price. Depending on how low you go, you'll need a camber kit in front and rear. The rear gonna be a sure thing you'll need, the front will be a maybe depends on how much you drop it.

I'm running Tein coilovers, Cusco front camber kit and Kinetix rear camber kit.

I was gonna put up about $1k for springs, shocks, camber kit, and front & rear spacers. I don't want that big of a drop, so I was planning to get the Tein 350z H-techs which is like .7" rear, .3" front drop.

I'm not too familiar with coilovers, do they replace both the springs and shocks? How would you say the ride with your coilovers compare to stock sport suspension and 19"s?

Honestly, with that little of a drop, I don't even think you'll need shocks or even a front camber kit. I ran on G35 S. Tech with my OEM shocks for 2yrs w/o any problems before I switched to coilovers. I would just save your money, get springs and a rear camber kit and call it a day.

Yeah, I guess you're right, I'll just get the springs, spacers, and rear camber kit for now, get an alignment and see if I'll need front ones too. Car only has 10k miles on it, so stock shocks should be fine for a while, I was just worried about the ride being too stiff, it's my daily driver, so I don't want to be too uncomfortable lol.

Now that that's settled, time to look into which rear camber kit to buy. Thanks for your help man

np, the ride won't be too stiff. With my G S Techs, I noticed it a tiny bit more stiff right when you first sit in it, but after a few days, it feels the same as stock. You just get used to it. Its still comfortable IMO.

Good luck with everything!
