I'll have a pic of the Akebono's on my G35 next week I haven't seen them behind the OEM 19s yet.

That says nothing about upgrading functionality or performance and everything about the aesthetic.

I put an 05 spoiler on my 06 coupe because it didn't have a spoiler at all and i liked that one the best. Unlike brakes yes a spoiler is purely for looks.

I know you want to be rockin these:

LMFAOOO
I did't know they made a cover like that.

however making your car look good even if it stays the same performance wise, its not a bad idea.
I am also looking to upgrade my ugly calipers to the brembo ones. so if someone is selling a good set for cheap let me know.

I've talked to people who've gone from their OE Brembo setups to Akebono and have been very happy. Coz has them in the aforementioned link (posted by 5150DS) for $1995, a 4-piston/front 2-piston/rear setup, 14" with Stoptech drilled/slotted rotors that not only look good, but perform well too. OEM non-Brembo brakes are FAIL performance-wise and aesthetically.

Really? How is that? Both the 03 and the 2 piston 05+ non-brembo systems have a world class 60-0 time of about 110-113 ft.

The larger brembos perform a touch better in brade fade resistance but even then, members are fading these on the track.

With repetition? "performed a touch better"? I'm obviously going to have to do some research, I can't fathom OE Brembos performing a "touch better" than 05+ non-Brembo brakes. I'm going to need some numbers to support my claim, 'logic would dictate' Brembos and most other notable BBKs would ROCK the OEM 05+ non-Brembo setups. Every brake fades, of course members are fading Brembos on the track, but how much brake fade resistance vs. OEM non-Brembo with several stops?

look up the tests. 05+ non brembos stop just as hard if not harder than the brembos. there is a great thread somewhere about bbks vs stock, the only real benefit besides the bling factor of bbks is the resistance against brake fading, not a big difference in initial stopping distance.

Look at the temp differences. That's where the differences are.

exactly, it will reduce brake fading and allow you to repeatedly stop from higher speeds well but juts for non track stopping the oem's are exceptional compared to most cars
