Exclamation GT Spec Front Tie Brace Question?

Im in the process of installing my front lower tie brace and am wondering if when i take the bolt out is the lower a arm going to fall due to the weight of the shock, and whether i need to put a jack under the arm to keep it from falling? Ive done tons of searches and have come up empty handed. Please help asap. Thanks

the problem is once i removed the bolt the a arm dropped, i had a block of wood under it to hold it up but it fell about an inch and now the holes dont line up to install the bolt. The car isnt jacked up, just on a drive up lift.

Can't you just get a jack under it? If you can't get a jack under it use a pry bar to lift it back up.

yeah a pry bar or jack on the bottom-side to jack it up to line it back up.

well it was a pain and i used some serious rigging to get it to work but i got it back in place. I didnt install the bar though because looking at the design of the car there is no way that Tie Brace does anything at all. The lower control arms are already mounted to a solid piece of steel that connects to each other. Adding a piece of softer aluminum to the equation isnt making anything stronger. SO does anyone wanna buy a New in box front tie brace?

Jack up your car so the wheels are off the ground. You should be able to make it work that way.
