Need some info on Drop

Hello,

New to the G35's and to this community as you can see. I just got some wheels 20x9 15mm and 20x11 20mm and wanted to dump the hell out of the car but do not have airbag or coil over money. What springs would give me the lowest drop? Looking for the no gap look or even tucking a little bit of the tire. Thank you guys for helping and looking forward to learning from all you guru's out there. Some serious cars in here

CJ

PS
I'm a Newbi so please bare with me on how this forum board thing works

I just bought the Eibach Sportline Springs, and the car is in the shop as I type.

The sportlines are a 1.7" Front Drop and a 1.4 Rear Drop. Worth checking out. Although I have smaller wheels than you. 18x8 245/40, and 18x9 275/40. Im expecting to bring the fender right down to the wheel.

Its cost me $250 (w/shipping on ebay) for the springs, and another $200 for a shop to put them on (which is cheap, most places wanted $350) . Now Im being told I need to do something else to the rear in order to Align it properly. Ill find out what when I go to pick it up. The alignment is going to cost more too I assume.

the problem here is no money for coilovers or for bags. I understand what it's like not to have money to do what you want but despite that if you want to achieving dumping the hell out of the car it WILL cost you a good amount of money. I suggest save up because springs won't get you the kind of lowered ride height like coilovers can

I agree with eurodre. I like my drop but to slam it you would want better equipment. I wouldn't recommend more than a 1.5 inch drop with just springs. The ride will get horrible and Im already having scraping issues on bad roads.

Not to mention the rear camber equipment I have to buy now to align the tires. 4 - 6 hundred $. Its expensive no matter what rout you go. Best to do it right.

Of course, when I was 17 we would just cut the stock springs with a circular saw. That was free. Man I messed up some cars when I was young.

go with z tein s-techs. they'll drop you just over an inch which should close the gap completely

Would these require a camber kit, or are they not quite low enough to really need it?

I would suggest getting rear camber kit. that's what I have, but you can run without one, but your tires will suffer.. in the end $150 for the camber kit + $100-150 for the install + $150 for alignment (which you would do anyways) seems worth it with 150-250$ a piece tires.
