got some strange noise like knocking or pressure pressing against metal sound coming from the rear-passenger side whenever

(1) everytime during launching (not hard launching), just regular launching --- it knocks like 2-3 times

(2) frequently, but not everytime, when coming to a fully stop (very smooth stop), you can still hear a knock or 2



also, when i have my window down and if i listen very carefully, i can hear my rear suspension having some kind of strange noise like squeeking metal or dragging some soft metal piece on the ground. it only happens when i'm riding over damaged roads (but not like badly -- just lightly)

any input?

well the brakes feels good, and the ebrake works...

how do i inspect the caliper/rotors/pads/brakes? what are you suspecting?

 

Your calipers bushings might be worn there could be movement in it...

 

are you suspecting that is the cause for the knocking sound during launch OR for the dragging metal sound while driving on uneven road?

 

i was told by an infiniti tech it was my bushings being cracked.... does this happen when you go up a drive way ?

 

I would say both,but im not there to see but it will definitely bang more on bumpy road..

 

so i need to open up my caliper to check the bushings right?

 

U shouldfeel movement if bushing worn out

 

you mean by grabbing onto the caliper and try to rock it to see if its having movement?

 

Ya...i had the same problem on my truck...

i check'd its not the brakes or calipers

 

suspension squeeking...depends on what year your car is...i have 04 which did the same thing year and a half back...stealership replaced the hardware underneath...$1000 job..it was a factory notice so they had to cover it..look into that..brakes i don't know ..sorry

what hardware underneath was it replaced? do you have the invoice with parts# and parts title/name?

so i can have some reference to cost and so i know what to inspect when i hoist up the car at my mech's shop?
