Front knocking/popping sound

Hm...

so just noticed it today when was i was driving...i get this knocking/popping sound from the front passenger side suspension (i think)...i can hear it when i go through dips, uneven road, and even on flat roads, kinda of awkward...

I have a hunch its bad compression rod bushings, but I wanna see wut others think....

Oh ya..i have the following suspension mods: hotchkis sways, SPC camber kits, and tanabe coils

any feedback is appreciated :P

Thanks!!

It's probably your sway bar end links going out. I had the same thing happen to mine a while back. clunking when driving over uneven road. It went away and i was all happy. But it came back a couple days later. it ended up being my sway bar end links.

okay.... i took it to the dealer on monday the 21st... i forgot that my car has 61,750 miles... OUT OF WARRANTY ...

I thought that they would be able to hear/feel the clunk, and tell me what it was, maybe they might have heard it before.. but..as we all know... the dealer is all about the money..they asked me if the car had been in an accident... it never has... but that's kinda what it feels like.. n e how.. they want $135 an hour to find; not fix; the problem... i figured i would just take it to someone else since i know i am not going to let the dealer fix it anyway...

So I am goin to STILLEN today and see what they say.. STILLEN is like 10 min from my house... anyone suggest taking to anywhere else in Orange County...?????

By the way ... i've been driving my car like a grandma and the clunking has stopped all together.. i don't want to agitate it.. the car drives straight, it doesn't veer off the road when i take my hands off the wheel, but if i turn quickly left or right or hit a speedbump it has a terrible knocking/clunking sound...

I've got a similar noise. Usually notice it goin up a driveway or over a speed bump. I was thinking its the suspension bump stop or something, but maybe it's the sway bar end links.

What's a recommended brand for after market end links?

its your compression rod / lower control arm. Common problem, run a search

I had the same issue, and ended up needing poly grease on the sway bar bushings, as I initially used lithium grease and it washed out. If there is an issue with your endlinks, you will only hear it once there is a load differential (going through a turn) between endlinks.
