3rd brake light resolution
I guess this might qualify as brakes. Well after a lot of frustration with the fact that a replacement 3rd brake light is outrageously expensive I decided to make my own. I used 20 5mm 15,000k leds, all with their own 510 ohm resistor wire in parallel, soldered onto a piece of perfboard I cutout to the same size as the back of the reflector. I then cutout the reflector and epoxied the board to the back of the leftover mount. total circuit draw is .5 amps. Ive been using it for 2 months now with no problems. what do you all think?

It had burned out, so I read on here that sometimes an LED goes bad or a diode will go bad. so I first replaced the bad led and it worked for about a week, then the diode went bad. I think at that point I just said screw it and made my own. I sure as hell wasnt about to shell out 100 bucks for 5 leds, a resistor and a diode.
