need quick advance on brakes/rotors...

my brakes are squeaking pretty bad in the front and when i took it in to CarZone Auto Repair for a full-service and the mechanic told me i had 40% of the pads remaining in the front...

well my question is do i need rotors also????....i got my front rotors resurfaced about 2 years ago when i first changed out my fronts pads...should i just resurface them again or is that not a good idea?...the rotors dont look bad at all and theres no vibration either.........i have an 03 g35c w/ brembos..also im going to keep the pads on for a little while more..should i spray it with the "brake-stop" stuff (i think thats what its called) to stop the squeaking noise?

Uh unless I can measure the thickness of your rotors over the internet, no one is going to be able to tell you if you need new ones or not. ESPECIALLY when you had them resurfaced once already

There are two basic reasons to resurface your rotors:
1 - you have worn groves into them
2 - they have high/low spots (warped)

If you don't have either of these issues, you should be OK.

I don't know about the "brake-stop" stuff, so I won't comment on that. All I can add is that when I've done brake jobs, I've used whatever shims were supplied as well as any anti-squeak lube that came with the pads and I've never had a squeaking issue.

high and low spots on the rotors aren't always from a warped rotor but from uneven pad material transfer. unless you have it measured and still has more than minimum thickness left, you'll need to replace rotors...
