need brembo brake pads for non-brembo brakes?

i have a 2006 6mt coupe. i got some pads from advanced auto but they were too small took them back and couldn't find anything to fit. went to pep boys and they matched my pad with a brembo brake pad. i don't have any logos or color on my brakes they look stock. did i miss something or do the 06's come with brembo brakes?

thread resurrection spell

Yeah, Pep Boys wanted to give me the wrong pads, based on their system. Autozone doesn't differentiate between Brembo and non-Brembo on the front pads for 2006. They have "Akebono calipers (With 3 triangles cast in body of caliper)" and another. You sound like you have what I have, which would be the 'other' in Autozone's system, and one of the Brembo options in Pep Boy's system.

It's an 888, or PGD888M, in the case of the pads I got from Pep Boys. Confusing as hell and warranted a couple purchases and quick returns to compare.
