Our G35 went in for some tranny/brake/recall/oilchange work- the service rep said the tech saw the pads were down to 5%-10% left. Since it's gonna cost around $200 to replace the pads and turn the rotors, I ordered it.

Under 15k miles- and it's 99% my wife driving it... she's no race driver to abuse brakes.

Now that we know the stock pads are really soft, who in the aftermarket has pads? I'd assume the pads are the same as the 350Z. Hawk may have a fitment, not seen anyone else.

I can bear to replace the pads every 15k, but I'm not going to shell out $200 to have it done.

 

This is common...I dont agree with them turning the rotors at this low mileage though. I would also replace the pads with wagners if available.
