2004 G35 Brake Problems - Permanent fix

Hi Folks, I'm tired of fixing the brakes on my 2004 G35. Anybody ever figure out what seems to be causing the excessive wear problem? I've heard it's a design fault somewhere in the hydraulics. I'd like to take care of this problem once and for all. Has anybody out there replaced system components with non OEM (like replacing OEM calipers with Brembo) until the problem went away, and if so, what components did you replace to PERMANENTLY fix the problem? Thanks. Larry

I am getting 40K km out of my brakes with autocrosses and track day here and there....
Try Axxis or EBC Green Stuff pads.Hawk are good too, but I never used them on G.
There's nothing inherently wrong with hydraulics on G, it a heavy car with failry small brakes. Your car may have particular problem and shop with rollers should determine, if your brakes are "dragging" when not applied thus casuing excessive wear.
If you want 100K km out of brakes, get cheap "lifetime warranty" pads, but braking will be worse than OEM or aftermarket performance pads.
As for aftermarket brake kits with different caliper-they are around $1500, you can replace a LOT of stock pads for this kind of money. Mind that they are driven by the same hydraulical system as stock calipers.

No fix for that, the root-cause was due to soft brake pads that was able to deliver on-paper braking performance. The problem should also be evidential from excessive brake dust when compared to 05+ brake pads/ caliper/ rotor combo.
