Yet another shock question

Once again bear with me because I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject, and I've done lots of searching and it seems like I can find all of the information I need on springs, but I'm a little lost on shocks.

I recently purchased an 03 coupe with about 77k miles on it. Everything is stock. I want to get the Tanabe NF210's to put on it, but it seems like I'm going to need to replace my shocks as well since they have so many miles. What shocks would you guys recommend? I'm looking for something not too pricey, but don't want to lack quality.

I can get the Tokico HP performance shocks for $299 shipped, but not sure if that would be a good match or not, or if there is something similar cheaper.

Pick a better spring.

Taking out suspension travel in the form of a drop and doing it on springs that are softer then oem, is a bad idea.

I made the following thread so people can hopefully avoid making mistakes.
https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...w-updates.html

Tanabe NF210 Springs G35 COUPE progressive springs 1”/.6"
Spring rates in LBS 297/336
Beware, a 1" drop on springs that are softer then oem springs.

If you kick your oem shocks to the curb and get Tokico HP's ment for the Z. The Z uses shocks that are 3/4" shorter, that add's that much shock travel back in for you. Remember once your suspension smashes past the soft foam part of the bumpstop, it's hard rubber after that.

Here are the 350Z spec Tokico HP part numbers, so when you order you can make double sure your getting the right one. Front:HU3742 HU3743 REAR: x2 HE3744

IMO a better spring choice with 350Z HP shocks would be

RSR 350Z linear springs .6”/.6” should be 1.1"/1.1" coupe drop
Spring rates in LBS 345/417

Tein S-tech 350z (fronts are progressive, rears are linear) .7”/.6” should be 1.2"/1.1" coupe drop
Spring rates in LBS 386/402 (estimated front intial rate is 327lbs)

Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2” should be .8"/.7" coupe drop
Spring rates in LBS 358/375

I'd even run coupe prokits before ANY spring that was softer then oem

Eibach G35 Coupe progressive springs 1.1”/1”
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 229/337 initial/final rear 274/463
