funny shaking ! help!
hey guys,
is this normal for g's?
every time i go over painted lines in the road, or a small indent, it feels like the suspension vibrates... btw i have an 05 with the upgraded wheels and suspension package.
anyways. its as if the suspension takes the shock, and then rebounds two or three times...
and once i could have sworn i felt the wheel move and the back end slide an inch or two..
do you sort of get the idea of whats happenin?
any ideas?

I dont think it would "hurt" you car per say, but it is going to be super annoying. The only thing i could see it doing is possibly loosening something in the steering or suspension. But I really dont know so I guess that's not supper definitive sorry.
Ozone, heat, salt, etc reacts with the rubber suspension bushings causing them to change hardness. Generally a 4-6 year old bushing is nowhere near the parameters of a brand new bushing.
This wear and tear exposure on rubber is why a 4-6 year old car doesn't ride or behave as a brand new one.
Over the past 19.5 years of Infiniti ownership I have replaced many many rubber bushings multiple times as I have gone thru oem + 5 sets of shocks in just 322,000 miles.

The car sits perfect... the gaps are all correct. so if the shock is shot, then wouldnt it sit lower because only the spring is resisting?

no...you can test it out by pushing down on the corner of the car. if it bounces multiple time on rebound then there blown or you can look around the shock body for signs of a leak
