Front Right Brake Metal on Metal Noise Help Please...
Hey guys, I recently had my rear pads replaced which was highly needed. But now when im accelerating from a stop i hear this loud scraping metal noise coming from my right brake caliper. The pads on the fronts have more than 70% life left and the rears were just replaced.
The noise also does not go away when my brakes are applied, and is in sync with the revolutions of my wheels.
What can i do about this hideous sound G35driver?
any help comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
thanks for taking the time to read my post.

have you checked your wheel bearings? or tey taking out the pads, and filing off an angled edge to all your pads, applying a little copperease ( or other copper based lubricant) to the rears and edges of the pads.
just on the rear of the pads. i.e. where the piston pushes against them. it slightly helps the pads sit better against the rotors. just a suggestion? also make sure you have exactly the right size pads, if they are even a little bit too large, they get wedged in the calipers and can slightly get stuck and rub against the rotors.
gotcha.
so yesterday i went to this gas station that had a service center and they told me that i needed new front pads??
i then told the guy that i could clearly see a lot of the pad left on the front and there is a solid 2-3 cm left.
do i really need new pads?

if it was bearings wouldnt the noise stop when you applied the brakes? if you still have that much pad then there is no reason to change them. I change mine when they get lower than 8 mm. Take a wheel off, remove the retaining clip and slide out the pads and have a good look at them. check the wear is even and nothing obvious looks wrong. then at the same time you can chamfer down the corners at the sme time. whole thing should take less than five mins.
