Did any of you lowered your coupe that originally came with sport suspension (sports package)? I really like how my G35 handles with the original sport suspension, but would love to lose about an inch all around. I'm looking into putting tein s-tech + camber kit, and would like to know if it will handle as well or better than the original ones.

 

good question looking to find out the same thing! have you researched the camber kit's yet? if you have what camber kits do you suggest so far?

 

i would go spc front control arms and rear camber and toe bolt kit.... i have the tein s techs on as well

 

Your looking at the wrong S-tech, you will not get what you want.

Your oem spring rates
314/427

Tein S-tech G35 coupe 1.2”/.9” (fronts are progressive, rears are linear)
Spring rates in LBS 358/274 (final rates only, softer intial front progressive rate unknown)

This is the S-tech kit to get to get what your after. Much better spring rates.

Tein S-tech 350Z springs 1.2“/1.1“ drop on G35 coupe (fronts are slightly progressive, rears are linear)
Spring rates in LBS 386/402 (estimated front intial rate is 327lbs

 

Camber kit recommendaton

SPL or Cusco front

SPL or SPC rear (camber arms AND elongated toe cam bolts).

 

Regarding front camber kits I don't think it's really nessary. I for sure got the spc rear and did the springmout mod.... Just get a good alignment and you're good.

 

its necessary if you go s-tech, especially 350z

you can barely squeeze by with z htechs... and not everyone can.

 

Thanks. I've been doing alittle research myself and I do agree with you. Now I'm thinking, with the springs, new shocks(most likely needed), and camber kit, it would be better/easier to go with coilover. I know it costs more, but if I add up all the things I needed to get springs done the difference wouldnt be that great. Not to mention better result.

 

Your only other option would be to go 350Z h-techs and then do the rear spring mount mod.
Then just slap on the rear spc camber kit.
The front still might be in spec with the h-techs.
But if u have the cash u can go the coilover route.
