Suspension Decision
Oem linear springs
G35 coupes 2005/2006 with oem 19’s only
350Z 2004.5 to 2006 (revised suspension)
Front:314 Rear:427
Tein S-tech 350z
.7”/.6” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 386/402
Tanabe DF210
Spring rates in LBS 308 /353
1.7”/1.3” drop on G35 coupe
Eibach G35 Coupe progressive springs 1.1”/1” drop on G35 coupe
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 229/337 initial/final rear 274/463
tein basics Front (-1.5"), Rear (-0.9") Spring Rate: Front (503 lbs), Rear (503 lbs) Adjustable Range: Front (-0.7" to -2.6"), Rear (-0.2" to -1.2") Upper Mount: Front (OEM), Rear (OEM)
^^^these might help. If your not tracking your car you dont need the coilovers, dont forget that you will need a rear camber kit and the front will be just a hair out of spec but not to bad. And just so you know the oem shocks are tokico and will work fine with most lowering springs. you can save your money on shocks unless you really think you need the damping force adjustment.
And a suggestion ride in a car with coilovers on a normal city street with cracks and the ocasional pot hole before you buy. the tein basic springs have a 503 linear spring rate. its a harsh ride on the street.
just my two cents

Thanks for all the info so far!
I have since decided to go with the Eibach proline springs from b2autodesigns.com **props to them**
Should have 'em installed this weekend. Will be a DIY. Anyone have a link handy to a DIY for springs?
Thanks,
Junya

thats what I have..you wont be dissapointed, did you get a rear camber kit? you will need it. front isnt really needed though with those springs..Im just a hair out of spec but it drives fine.
Sorry if this is keeping alive a resolved thread, but I noticed others are "all ears" like myself. Gsedan35 made a couple statements below that I'd like your opinion on.
Suspension is like buying shoes online, so hard to figure out if they're right for you with just talk. And even harder to find and get a feel for in person until you've put them on your car, so I really appreciate resident expert advice (if I can afford it
).
I noticed that most coilover combo's I looked at have a softer rate in the rear while OEM has it much higher than front. The suspension thread sticky mentioned that having a softer rear increases understeer but why would so many after market setups spec it so different from OEM ratios?
Theirs no such thing as a good cheap coilover, don't get sucked into that, all that garbage show's up on ebay and still doesn't sell for a reason. You have NOT spelled out any reason's that a good shock and spring setup won't meet your needs. Only sub $1000 coilover I would trust are Eibach Pro-S and maybe H&R.
I had read a smattering of good reviews and am considering Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC. But they don't have a lot of discussion here and 350z. They can be found < $1000. What are your thoughts on them? They have a 10k front 8k rear I believe hence my question above.
My current ride is the 05 Sport Suspenion with a blown strut. I was initially considering a spring/strut replace but some (quality?) coilovers aren't too much more.
Thanks,
