Rotor Rust, Can I use White Ox? Pics inside
#16
I bought them off eBay from brakemasters (also known as 88 Rotors).
Honestly, I'm happy with the purchase. Stopping power is better than OEM and the pads seem fine to me.
The rust is a problem BUT you can go with another eBay seller who has them for $20 more with zinc-coating so they won't rust - I would have done this but had no idea.
Also, I just bought rear ceramic pads and blank rotors for my dad's 98 maxima. $60 shipped. No problems at all with his.

rockauto.com sometimes parts are cheaper there, sometimes not. I think there's also autowarehouse. In this case, the brakes were for a lexus ES330. Wagner blank economy rotors and their thermoquiet pads were the best deal (with rebate). I painted the rotors and they've been great ever since the install. Surprisingly, their pads work and feel great too. Also, there's no visible dust! it's a great oem match for lexus.
