Thumbs down brakes are giving me a headache...

Car: 2004 G35 Coupe w/ Brembo's.

It all started with a sound like air was escaping from my tires whenever I would go from low speed-higher speeds.... This sound then evolved into the squeaking sounds whenever I stepped on the brakes. Went to a local Les Schwab to see exactly what the constant squeaking was with the brakes and they said that my brakes were wearing thin and one of my rotors (the one that was squeaking) needed changing (couldn't refinish).

So I ordered some blank rotors and Axxis pads on all four axles, and got them installed at a different shop today. I wasn't expecting wonders, but the squalling sound did go away, however, when parked on a normal driveway, the handbrake needs to be turned up ALL THE WAY in order to not move backwards (this was like how it was before, but I still expected a little change from better brakes). That and the sound of nitrogen (I had them filled with that instead of air) sounds like it was escaping from my tires is still there!

Is this normal? If somehow, the sound of air escaping evolves into the problem with the brakes.... I will be irritated.. If anything, do you guys think it might be my calipers?

Handbrake is a separate system - it has nothing to do with main calipers/pads. The handbrake uses a shoe that makes contact with the inside hat of your rear rotor. If the shoes are worn out, then the parking brake needs to be adjusted, or the shoes need to be replaced. Search this forum - this is a diagram on how to adjust it.

Have you checked your tires for air leaks? You could have a bent rim or faulty valve seal somewhere.

^ gotcha. I might be getting air leaks, but the brakes are definitely squeaking now whenever I put pressure about 3/4 from stomping it. Keep in mind these are new brakes and new rotors. Are they squealing from the break-in-period? Or is something wrong? And if so, what?

Depends on the kind of pads you got. If they are semi-mets, then they are prone to some squeal, but it shouldn't be all the time. Did you make sure to have them install the shims on the pads? If not, then that's a big contributor to the problem. The OEM Brembo pads come with shims pre-installed, while most aftermarket pads do not.

Also, you need plenty of anti-squeal (I like 3M Brake Lube) on the sides and back of pads per the Factory Service Manual.
