The rear bump stop thread....
I installed H&R Coilovers on my car and noticed how close the bump stops "seemed" to be to the shock body when lowered. I then decided to measure the distance between the shock body and the bump stop when, to my surprise, there was ZERO distance...the car is literally resting on the rear bump stops and I'm not even slammed ( from the floor to the wheel well arch it measures F-25.5" and R-25.75" ). I decided to remove them and drive the car and immediately felt the car to be much smoother over bumps and much less bouncy in the rear. I also never bottomed out even in the worse of bumps ( which I have a lot of where I live ).
So, while I "solved" the issue short term I really don't like the idea of riding without bump stops for those HUGE bumps one may encounter every so often. I cut the bump stop out of the dust cover and simply shoved the dust cover into the socket where the bump stop was and it fits very tight so I have no problems with the dust cover...just a lack of a bump stop.
Has anyone found a solution for this?

Wow...no one has this issue? My car runs so much smoother now and it's not even slammed...I wonder how people can drive their cars slammed and not have it feel like a truck.
I'm thinking of just buying a small rubber bump stop from another car and simply placing it inside the stock boot kinda like the front ones.
