Whats that Extra bolt on the rotors doing?

Whats that Extra bolt on the rotors doing?

Probably a noob question but i upgraded from a civic SI and it didnt have that extra bolt on the rotors ? is it a sensor or can i just take it out . i bought some new shoes for my g and it was getting in the way so we took it out everything looks fine and the rims went on perfect . but with it they wouldnt bolt on.

HELLPPP????? thanx

that bolt on the rotors are there so you dont put your stock rear rims in the front or vise versa..

you can just take those bolts off

The bolt has to come off when running spacers anyway, and some aftermarket wheels. It's not needed, just like the 2 screws on your Honda rotors! I just took them off and put them in the trunk by the jack!

That bolt can also be used to separate the rotor from the hub. Back it out to remove the sleeve around the bolt. And then put the bolt back in and tighten. It pushes the rotor from the hub in case its difficult to remove.
