Revised 350z springs and their effects

I like the dropped look, but I don't have the cash for completely new stuff and camber kits if I go over 1".

There's a couple of people selling OEM 350z revised springs for ~$100. One that I'm looking at have like 20k miles on them.

I searched and didn't find any threads that were super helpful... I want to get these and use the stock shocks on my 04 6mt coupe. Would this be a bad idea? I'd probably want to get an alignment done so I don't burn the tires, right?

This seems like a really cheap way to get a half inch lower, and maybe have a bit sportier of a ride. Am I overlooking something?

Thanks!

Dude, half inch drop is nothing. You are going to end up unhappy with them and spending more money in other springs. Do it right the first time!

Im pretty sure the revised rear 350Z springs are the same length as the rear G35 coupe springs (all years), so swapping them wont get you any lower. The ride would be stiffer in the rear, but you should change out the shocks to revised ones to match the revised (stiffer) spring rate.

It's more that I'm having a hard time justifying the cost of camber kits on top of the shocks/springs to drop it. I'd love the eibach pro kit, but I can't afford it nor do I see myself shelling out the cash for it in the time I own the car.

However if there's a cheap alternative to get a drop, I'll take it.

Let me tell you something, there is no cheap alternative with this cars. The only way you will have a modification with less cost is to buy used parts. But in general every single part is expensive. If you doubt about the need of camber arms, the cost of springs, etc, just enjoy your stock car and keep your money for whatever makes you happy. Just my 2 cents.

I see where you're coming from, I do, but it's not what I'm asking.

If these will give me a half inch drop, feel the same or better than my OEM coupe springs, all without needing a camber kit then I want to know if they'll work well. I want the slightly more aggressive look without spending a lot.
