Have been pleased so far.
+1 Great pads, cheap price, very little to no dust, absolutely no squealing, and long lasting.

I'll have to look into these Akebono pro-act pads.

Has anyone used the Wagner Thermo Quiets?

I checked them out and I see they are ceramic pads. Do our Gs come with rotors that are "compatable" with ceramic pads? I have my stock rotors (2006 G Coupe) so I'm not sure if I put the ceramic pads, they will wear through the rotors much faster (or not)

Aren't the stock pads semi-metallic?

the hawks gave me a similar bite to my OEM brembos. good brake pads, minimal dust.

What type of driving do you do? Are you aggressive? cruiser? The pads/rotors you decide to purchase should be based on those questions.

Just normal daily driving. I'm not going to replace the rotors because they are not warped.

go with OEM but not with the ones that came on 03-04, go with the ones that are for 05 and up models.

Most of the aftermarket pads that being suggested here are going to be allot worse. Most of them require better rotors than stock and much hotter temperature to work properly than you can ever achieve during daily driving.

Plus Hawks suck a$$ in wet conditions compared to ceramic OEM pads. And OEM pads are much cheaper.

So if you not upgrading the rotor there is absolutely no need on spending extra money and getting performance pads when you not going to be doing any performance driving.

Get 05 OEM ceramic pads.............and forget about it.

05's pads wont fit on 03-04's, since the calipers and rotors are different size.. right?

Correct. The 05 and newer G35s have a larger caliper to correct the premature wear that occured with the 03-04 OEM front pads which were too small for the car. There are no issues with the OEM pads on the 05 and newer G35s. It's the 03-04 cars that suffered from excessive brake dust, and premature wear. I have found the ceramic Akebono Pro Acts which are the same manufacturer as the rear OEM pads on the Coupe work exceptionally well with the factory rotors and eliminate the dust while extending pad and rotor life. It is not a performance pad but works fine for everyday drving.
