I just put an 06 front set up on my 04 and at first, the pedal feel was better to me. It wasn't so touchy and a more progressive stop. But after a week now they are not only as touchy but more so. I've read some in here about pad bedding? I'm guessing that's what has happened. So IMO they do stop better, but in my case it's not what I was looking for. I"m going to get some of those hawk pads or whatever they are and upgrade the rear to the 06 as well. I think just upgrading the front is a mistake so if you do it do the rear also and may be even aftermarket for the rear. Also the stock brakes stop well, so if yours don't, I'm guessing your pads are gone and anything would stop better for you. Just my opinion.

The hawk pads should definitely solve the initial bite problem because they are somewhat softer when cold which seems to me is what you are looking for. I LOVE the initial bite but that's just me.

Thanks, it's good to hear another conformation on those pads. I guess it's just personal preference on how you want them to react.

Yeah, it's personal preference. I've had hawk pads and when driving around normally they were smooth but lacked the initial bite I love. When hot though they gripped fiercely. The oem pads are better balanced for me though.
