Eibach springs

Hey guys,
My cousin with a G35 coupe is planning to give me his Eibach springs. I'm not sure if they're prokit or sportlines. I have a feeling they're sportlines. So since i'm on a budget, i was planning to use my stock 05 sport stocks with these springs. Would that be a good idea? Also would i need a camber kit even though i only drive my car on the weekends? I don't drive far either, most of the time... i'm only around the area.

The color for pro-kit springs are black and the sportlines are red. As for cambers I would suggest getting a rear camber kit and toe bolts. You could probably get away with it in the front with pro-kit, but most likely you will get inner wears. I am currently running pro-kit with both SPC front and rear camber kits. At first, I ran with only the rear, but my inner part of the front tires went from 6/32 to almost flat out nothing in less than 400 miles. But that might be because my specs were way off. If the springs are sportlines than you would need the front camber kits for sure. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I'm rolling with stock camber adjustment on the front with the pro-kit springs and it eats through tires within about 8k miles, on the inner edge. That gets pretty damn expensive, so I suggest you get a camber kit. The rears are less severe since they have camber adjustment stock which will compensate for most of the negative camber caused by the springs as long as you get an alignment.

As a side note, do you happen to know how long the eibach pro-kit springs last?

I've had mine on my G for about 50K miles and I'm suspecting it may soon be time to change them out.

My cousin probably only had the springs on for a year at most. It's crazy how the G eats up tires. I have Tein Basics on my 99 accord and it has somewhat camber wear but not that bad. Yeah when I first got my G, i wasn't planning to mod it... but once my cousin offered me the springs... now i'm tempted!

The Eibach springs have a million mile warranty. Just checked their website to confirm.

Very nice, unfortunately for me I need a purchase receipt (don't have it) and to have the original dealer send them in for me. Meh.

With that said, how long do a set of Eibachs really last?

I'd rather replace them before they wear into **** and make my struts wear out as well.

Would it be safe to ride on my stock sport shocks for the time being with the Eibach springs? this is just for now until i save up and buy coilovers (depending if i want to keep modding my G)

Also, i'm a bit confused on the spring mounts? what if i didn't cut them and just have the springs installed... would it be a big difference in lowering?
I also read around that when some people used camber kits, once they hit a pothole really hard, the camber kit arms cracked... kinda curious and worried about that...
