aftermarket g35 or 350z shock/struts?

I'm thinking of purchasing new shocks/struts for my G coupe. Since my cousin is giving me his Eibach sportlines, i decided to get new shocks/struts instead of using my stock ones. Should i get the shocks for G35 or 350z? curious about this because i hear that since the springs are shorter, that 350z shocks would be better since its also shorter. well that's what i heard when using stock shocks. not sure how it is for aftermarket.

if you are going to shocks and springs, you really should consider coilovers. You will not regret the purchase and it is something you can enjoy aesthetically and from a performance standpoint. Entry coils can start in the $600-$800 range.

Yeahhhh I know coilovers are what i should get... I have tein coilovers on my accord. The thing was when I bought my G as my weekend car, I wasn't planning to mod it lol. Obviously as time went by, that itch has been coming back to mod my car a bit. I'm not too sure if I really want to mod it so i just wanted to try minor things out without wasting too much money.

My cousin who also has a G coupe, he raised his car back up because of his kit and he decided to give me his eibach sportlines. Pretty much I plan on buying new shocks, nothing crazy... more like Tokico blues. If i decide that i do like driving a modded car again, then i'll give the suspension back to my cousin and buy coilovers. i just don't want to put out all the money for coilovers and then a few months down the line, i decide i don't want my car modded at all.

So did you ever managed to get OEM shocks from Z into G35 coupe? Any issue with installation? How's the ride?

I'm about to do the same here, and just want to know what I'll be getting into.
Thanks,

Hey what's up,
Nah I haven't. From what I searched and read all over this forum, alot of people seemed happy with it. It'll definitely respond better than having G shocks. I guess depending on how low you're gonna lower your car... if it's 1-1.5 inches, it should be alright as long as the shocks aren't dead. I haven't read anything about issues with installation, everything seemed smooth. If you search up threads about people having tein springs or eibach springs, most of them sound happy with what they got.
