H&R and Tanabe aren't in the linked thread...

I thought about H&R but researched Tanabe and liked what I found... I took a chance (because no one else did) and I really like the Pro S-OC

You won't find any reviews on a G35 (other than mine) - but there are a few (very limited) reviews of their other coilovers... and enough info about the company, the way they make their products and reviews from other cars...

Or you can follow the trend = BC, Tein...

I like deviating from the flock every now & then
i did not follow the trend... lol Klubbheads wrote a good review on BC Racing coilovers

Yes they are the exact same. Order them locally from AU.

I am running KW V1 coils.. Springs are very stiff.

My rear is maxed out height wise, wish I could go lower.. I technically can if I take out the height adjuster.. My fronts can pretty much lay frame if I wanted them too.

Overall they are very nice coils and the car hands incredibly well.

Just ordered the Function & Form Type 2 coils. I got them through the group buy in marketplace from Assultech. The MSRP is 1300 but they are currently selling them for 875... cheapest anywhere. They have all the features youd expect like 32 way adjustable dampening, adjustable height and adjustable camber plates and pillow mounts. The Tein Basic's dont even offer the adjustable dampening and they cost more!

Grab this deal before it goes away, I'm sure I will enjoy mine once they are installed.
Free Shipping BTW

But I'd go aftermarket -- Stillen, Hotchkis, Motordyne -- if you are actually looking to upgrade. Unless you are asking "are the 350z aftermarket sways the same as the G35..."

What's every one think about the Tein basic coils on a 04'g35x? Thought about getting springs but I'd rather just kill 2 birds with one stone.

Also... Would I need a camber kit with coils? Please inform. I want to hurry up and get my parts soon.

Ps. Tein Basic Coils/stillen front and rear sway bar package for $1224.99!! everythingG35.com

The only coilovers that fit the X is BC-Racing. These are the only ones out for the X. Not the regular BC-Racing coils, you have to ask specifically for the awd.

You will need camber kits. Oh and the front sway bar wont fit the X either, only the rear. There is a thread for sways bars for the X, there figuring on how to fabricate the front ones.

You my friend should search more before you make such a large purchase.

Im 100% sure.

Yes research but if it has to do with suspension or exhausts ALWAYS ask if it fits the awd.
BC racing coilover is youre only choice. All springs and camber kits fit. All rear sway bars fit as well. No front sway bar fits.

first off i want to thank you again for this important information....

second... in your opinion...

what would be the best thing i could do to my car that would really be worth it?

should i just get springs? if yes, what kind? would i need a camber kit no matter how much i drop it?

i had the tein s-techs in mind but im worried about how low it drop it and the rear being lower than the front. ive seen pics of sedans with s-techs and h-techs and it always seems like the rear is lower than the front.

trust me. ive been doing research daily for about a week now and never knew that the X is different.

do you have a sedan?
