Sacer and Lowering Spring questions

Hi There. I'm thinking on buying a 25mm Ichiba v2 spacers to put in my 05 coupe. Has anyone had any problems with them on stock Suspension? Eventually I'd like to put in Tein basic lowering springs also.

1. Does anyone know of any issues with these set up?
2. How much did you pay for yours and what's a good price for them and installation.

A shop was quoting me $360 to lower the car and put in the spacers. I buy the parts. This service includes alignment. Is that a good price?

Thanks!

I'm dropped on zhtechs and have 25mm spacers all around no rubbing issues or any other issues. I bought my spacers for ~200 for all 4 and the springs used for ~100, I did all the installations myself though. The spacers are as easy as taking off your wheel and putting the spacer on the hub and tightening it then putting the wheel back on. The springs are a bit more intensive, if you are doing coilovers it's easier but if you don't have the tools or time you can have a shop do that.

the shop is ripping you off BIG time

the 25mm ichiba v2 spacers to put on is easier than breathing..

take tire off... put spacer on, tighten put tire back on..

and don't do 30mm on stockies it just looks terrible, stick with 25

That's a lot for installing springs. Highest I think I paid was 100$ adding spacers (like stated above) Easiest thing you can do... Find another shop..

^^^everything in canada is a rip off man, but by the sound of it 360 is a huge rip off, seeing as some of the other people here got them much cheaper...allignment isn't to expensive and installing springs shouldn't take more then 2 shop hours (or about 150). price should be 250.

putting on spacers is really easy apparently as well. - as long as you have a torque wrench, but its probably cheaper to install yourself even if you have to buy the tool.

I run 30 in the back, on the 350z Eibach Pro kit, stock 18's. I had to roll the rear fenders for the 30's but I didnt have to roll them when I had the 25's on the back.

25 front, 30 rear. Bad Camera phone picture.

Price wise, you are paying to much. If you can change a tire, you can install the spacers. Springs..... not hard, but if you are not sure what you are doing, you can get hurt or break something. $200usd to install springs I would think is reasonable. I got a lifetime alignment from Firestone for $80usd. So any changes I make to the suspension, I run it up there and they realign it.

I think what he is saying was $198.75 is the price of the spacers, not the labor charge. $150 to install the springs is not bad at all. Alignment seems high though. I havent priced these springs but you may want to shop around on them. Most of the time you can find them much cheaper online... and they are springs, not a clutch or anything like that can really fail. They may charge you more labor though.

Also, make sure if they do install your spacers that they know you will be coming back after 50 - 100 miles to have them retorque them.
