replacing OEM shocks...need advice

So I'm getting ready to lower my G coupe on 350z s-techs. Right now my car/OEM sport shocks have 37k them. Would most people recommend replacing my shocks at this point? I know I'll prob get at least another 10k on the OEMs with the drop, but I would be rolling the dice on how far they would really last before wearing out. My thoughts at this point is just replace them now and save the work of redoing the suspension install in another year or so...

Do most people who replace shocks having lowering springs move over to the 350z shocks?

Also...I'm sort of debating between getting OEM replacements or going with tokico HPs. I know tokico makes the OEM nissan shocks, so is there even a difference between the HPs and OEM sport shocks?

Any other comments/suggestions? D-specs would be great, but a little out of my budget right now. Plus I'd prob just go with BC racing coils of I wanted an stech/d-spec combo anyway.

Good questions. I'm looking for similar answers. Have H&R springs but need to replace my OEM shocks now and not sure what to go with. Trying to keep a softer ride since the roads are covered with pot holes and i don't drive very aggressively. How about 350z OEM shocks?

I vote for the HP's. I have used them on several cars and they work well with S-techs.

yeah, I think I'm planning on going with the 350z HPs when I install my springs in the next few weeks. That is unless I come across a deal on some used d-specs in the marketplace. It's been hard to find OEM Z shocks with minimal miles.

I went with 350Z ones to accomodate for my lowered G.
