I want to lower my car about an inch! Im looking at the pro kit or s-tech springs! The s-tech i think are a softer spring rate over stock! I dont want to have to get a full camber kit toe bolts so on! Whats the best drop i have 20" wheels! I dont what to wear my tires out. I have searched around and its hard to get a good answer on this question. Anyone DD there car on these springs and how does your tires wear? Also what spring gives you the best ride with good handling? Thanks for anyones help!

 

ive got g35 s-techs but you will want a rear camber kit if you're dropping any more than the h-techs. you said you want even tire wear, but no camber kit, so your only option is the h-techs, which don't drop you much, but are good for DD as you can get in and out of places. I daily drive my car on s-techs and have to avoid lots of places, but it's worth it

 

Here's some facts about our Infiniti's, we don't get great tire wear with the OE suspensions. Lowering your car will equate to excessive tire wear without toe bolts and adjustable a-arms....fact! This has been discussed and threads written on the subject, nothing changes. If you want to be cool and lower your G ya gotta pay the price, either once for the suspension pieces or yearly for new tires....your choice!

I don't know how much different the sedan is, but I used the 350Z springs which gave me about 1" of drop. After an alignment, I am within the acceptable limits, just a bit (1.2 deg of neg camber) off in the back. I have very little abnormal tire wear.

 

Ya i heard from some people the the pro kit you dont need any camber setups is this true?

 

i have 350Z H-Techs on my G and absolutely love them, little bit of a stiffer ride, handles better, and a clean looking drop. I have 18s but I think that would be fine with 20s.

 

true if you want you like to frequently buy tires.

 

I went with the prokit and Just put on SPC Front and rear camber kits with toe bolts. There was no way to get them back into specs. The Closest I could get in the rear is -2.0 with the stock suspension...and Toe was off front and rear...

 

Yup it is true, I have the pro kit and dealership got it with in specs, Tire wear is still pretty bad though IMO.

I will be gettinga rear camber kit this spring though, just because I don't like the look af Neg camber...

 

I have the 350z S-techs on my car and they are sweet, definitely stiffer. The G35 S-techs probably wouldn't handle as well (speculation based on spring rates).

Currently, I have a set of Work Varianza T1S wheels 20x9.5"(+15mm) and 20x11" (+25mm) with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 sized tires. The gap between the fender and my tires are minimal, I'm lucky I have no rubbing. If the offset on the rears were any lower OR if my rear tire's profile was 35, I'd get rubbing for sure.

I decided to buy a rear camber/toe kit because the cost of my tires are ridiculous! In addition, I can adjust my camber to my preference (conservative for me...since Vancouver roads are rough). Keep in mind, camber changes how your car handles too, not just the springs.

I have 350z H-techs on my G35 and also love them. I think they ride perfect not too stiff or too soft.

 

Ok nice! What's the total drop using 350z h-tech! Could u get the car in spec without camber or toe bolts? Any excess wear on your tires?

 

I have the H-techs and I did that spring mount mod thing too. Drop came out nice and the ride is WAY better than the coilovers I used to have. Tire wear, well I got about 30,000 out of some Toyo Proxes and I have about 15K on my S-Drives now...so tire wear isnt the worst.
