Rotor Question
Rotor Question
I'm pretty new to this car so please bare with me. I took the wheels off today and noticed there is a tit protruding from the rotor. It's about 3/4" long with about a 3/8" diameter. What is the purpose of this? I noticed even the spare tire has a cut out for it. Is it a sensor or some kind of alignment pin or something for the rotor? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I don't think I've ever dealt with a vehicle that has this. Thanks for your help.

I wish my rotors had ****
I think you are referring to the stud on the front rotors that prevents the rear wheels from being installed on the front rotors. Are you a coupe with the sport package and the 19" Rays? Your rear wheels are larger than the fronts if so, and this is fail safe so clueless shops don't get them mixed up.
You can remove the studs with no problems if you want to.
