I don't know much about cars at all. I have the 2006 G35 car and its been maintained really well. I only have about 30k miles on it. When I shut the car off, it makes these noises under the car...like small metal popping or its has some dirt in it. It stops after a few minutes. Also, while I'm driving sometimes I notice this smell that occurs. It's not anything serious at all. It smells like excessive heat or something. No smoke. The popping sound after you turn the motor off is normal. It's just the car cooling/metal contracting.

You need to be a bit more specific.

 

smells like something from my engine because i smell it outside the car as well..its not a strong smell of anything but it doesnt seem right to me
