May be in the wrong forum here but I have a 08 g37 s and was wondering how to do the pad change on the akebono calipers. I have done alot of brakes in my time but never these 4 piston akebono/ brembo style brakes.. any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

When you look at the brakes, there should be two goldish looking pins that have retaining clips holding them in place. Remove the clips and pins and then you have access to the brake pads.
yeah, I did that exactly and the pads didnt seem to want to come out. this is how my r6 brakes are changed as well, but the pads come out much easier. do the pads just require a little force to pull out? I didnt want to damage anything but maybe they were just lodged in there real tight and I need to break them loose?

They may be a little tight, so a little pulling may be needed. What you should double check on is the actual rotor itself. Does it have a lip cut into it at the outer most edge? If so that may be holding them in.
I did notice a small lip, I will try again this week with some more force, thanks alot!
You should use a spreader to push the caliper pots back.
You will have to do this to get the new pads in for sure.
***watch your fluid reservoir that it doesn't overflow when you do this.
You should check that the rotors are still in spec as well.
