This is the response I got back when asking about replacing the older rears with the newest version:

"Unfortunately, the shocks have a different thread pitch, and therefore, would not be compatible with your set-up. Our coilovers are designed specifically with our shocks to match the spring rates. We would not recommend finding another company to make a replacement shock for our coilovers. The shocks would need to be valved a certain way to accomodate the spring rates, and the rear shocks would be valved completely different from the fronts. That would make the ride even worse.

The new Type II's have the same design, however, the build quality is better on the new version. We would recommend the new Type II's as it would be an upgrade to your current set-up. Again, we are currently sold out of this set-up currently until approx 4/15. Once we receive our shipment, we will have plenty of inventory on this application. "

Glad it helped, I love my f&f and although I had the problem with the wrong size nut for the bolt on the rear strut I talked to them and have fixed the issue and are now distributing the revised versions.

Sorry for bring a old thread up but this has been extremely helpful!
But hey Xet, how're you liking your f&f? Any squeeks or anything that was mentioned from before? Ride quality?

I like them, no squeaks or problems so far. But it has repeatedly tempted me into dropping my car more and more to the point where I need a ramp or cup kit to get out of my driveway hah

And you CAN make these coils feel like stock but just a bit stiffer right? Comfortable ride?

Sorry for revive, but I searched and this seemed like the right place to ask without making a new thread.

Has anyone tracked their F&F Type II's at an AutoX event or such? How have they held up?

I haven't, but I would be surprised if these didn't hold up fine for the once in a while autocross. But if you want serious autocross performance or to be used very often I would go with a track coil setup.

Thanks man haha. I'm trying to look for the coil that can be stiff enough to stop my body roll on the track, and can drop me 3" and I can change the damper for daily use. Been looking around and can't pull the trigger on any of them yet...

Honestly, these coils as well as most others will be able to do that.

Thanks for the responses man! Actually helps me a good bit, but I need to see results and reviews on each brand to even look at the coil haha. So far it's Stance GR+ haha.
