Centric Rotor and StopTech pad review
i second that... when i was replacing my rotors, my week long research led to the conclusion that centric makes rotors for stoptech. Centric "branded" rotors are priced way lower than stoptech "branded" rotors. So why pay marked up prices for the same rotor?

idrive - it sounds like the wet and cold performance for the Stoptech Street Perf pads is much better than the Hawk HPS, but can you comment as to how they compare to OEM Brembo pads?
Also, is there any difference between the first stop or two and the next set of stops (i.e. after the pads have warmed up a bit)? I'll be curious to hear how they perform in the winter too.

I have not gotten into these pads like I have with my Hawks a few times, just from morning commute use I do notice some increased bite as I get through my first 5-miles or so which is where I see the most braking from the traffic light drag race I endure each morning.
So far from my cold wet morning experience, expect some initial squealing in the morning, certainly if you back out of your spot. One or two more brake pedal applications and the squeal is gone. I have never heard them squeal once they have been scrubbed once or twice after sitting overnight getting cold and moist.
hope that helps.

So I managed to put some track abuse on my Stop Tech 309 pads (Street Performance series) on my OEM-Brembo equipped G35 coupe. I have to say I was highly impressed with them. I'll start by saying I def could have used a pad with some higher torque and initial bite, but for being street pads they did exceptionally well.
They never faded and pedal feel remained consistant from beginning to end. I was on track twice, pushing hard for 20-minutes each session. Weather was warm in the low 90's and very sunny. It was a 7-corner track with two straight aways ending into hard braking corners, especially the first straight into turn-1.
If there are any beginners out there or just seldom track visitors, I highly recommend this pad to people who want a great street pad that they can take and use on the track.
other brake mods for the day included Motul RBF-600 fluid, Fluid Transfer SS lines and Centric Slotted rotors. I was also on Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires, which held up really well too.
